PostSubject: Ganjola - The Way of the Loa   Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Icon_minitimeSun Dec 02, 2007 1:58 am

THE WAY OF THE LOA.
An RolePlaying Story written by Ganjola, Warrior on Sporregar RP-PVP EU Realm.

((A/N: All events in this story, apart from the encounter with the Shaman Ormak who is my alt is closely based on In Game events. Some events may be longer, shorter or slighty differ from what really happned to accomondate the written form. As the story was not written entirely by me, just the words I would like to direct thanks to all participants in this story who has helped to advance the plot. In particular, I would like to thank Kasa and Saadis (as her Alt Elhoa), without them – there would be no story. It should be noted that the first RP between me and Kasa was not known by Elhoa when she decided Ganjolas way and that Ganjolas fate in a way was sealed by the Great Metal Hand in the Sky.

Enjoy this, and PLEASE COMMENT! Comments are Raid level Epics for writers.))

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Gkshattrahud8

Part One.

“-Five”

Ganjola was not paying attention. He did not know what the number meant or why he even sat here, but he wanted to learn more about his gods and traditions, something that one easily forgot from time to time. And for him, it had been a very long time. And the only thing he learned today was not to sit on the rug. As if it mattered where he sat.

He glanced over his shoulder. There she was. The most beautiful troll he knew. And she was his. And he was hers. It had all transpired the night before. Trying to look as he payed attention to what Eloha said, his mind wandered to the last night.

The night Before:

Ganjola was really drunk. And that is to say something as he usual never drunk alcohol. He had just had the worst news yet. Blockhead had fallen and this was a hard blow at the young warrior and that was the reason he sat here almost drowning himself in Booze, trying to forget the harsh world.

Suddenly, a voice carried across the wind reached his ears and he worked hard to raise his eyes to see who was speaking to him.

“Ganjola, whatya doing?”

It was her. A Female that he fancied for a long time, but never really approached. Not only did he fear to be rejected, but also did he not have much experience with females and this was simply a field of battle he did not know much about, and therefore afraid to enter.

She sat down beside him.

“Look, mon. Mi be hearin about Blockhead and mi be sorry” she began. “But drinkin be not da answer, mon!”She sat down beside him and took the bottle from his hands.
“What would Blocky tink if he saw ya now?”

This comment seems to reach into Ganjolas mind, helped along the way with a whispered poison curing spell. He pulled out his last bottle of booze and crushed it against the sidewalk.

“Ya be right, mon.” he finally decided and stood up.
“Mon, ye know I am” she said and smiled. “Lets go for a walk. It will be good for ya.”
Ganjola took her up on the offer, and side by side they strolled outside the gates of Ogrimmar, past the training battles beeing fought just outside.

“Once, mi would be have jumped in an joined dem” the male Troll pointed out. “But now, mi be searchin to battle foh sometin larger, not pointless skirmishers with da Alliance. Mi fight da demons an scourge to make sure our children be livin in peace.”

“But whabout us, mon?” the female asked. “Mi want to leave in peace twoo.”
“If we be lucky, then dis fight be ovah soon, and then we be havin it.”

They sat down on a rock overlooking the Thunder Ridge. It was already past midnight and the two Trolls sat closely together, as to warm each other from the chill winds coming in from the sea.
She looked up and then at Ganjola.

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Gkogrimmarap6

“Whatya tink of da place. Mi be comin here to tink when me be needin it.”
“It be beautiful, mon. Mi should perhaps visit it more often.”
She nodded and continued.
“I like this place. At dis time, ya can se all da stars.”
Broth Trolls looked up at the sky above that was filled with stars.
“Da Shamans be tellin us Outland be out dere.” the Warrior pointed out. “Where ya tink it be?”
“Me not know, mon. But mi feel small in comparison to dat. What good can a simplah healer do in da world, mon”.

Ganjola did not like the fact that the female underestimated her acts for the tribe and the Horde. She had proven herself once and once again and this he told her. Still, it was most likely just the modesty that noble people developed from doing selfless acts that was speaking. He looked at her and decided it was time that this pretty priest start accepting the truth about herself.

“Some of us be thinkin ya to great tings to this world, mon.” he told her. “Not anytin like a lowly warrior like mi.”

This time, it was her turn to look at him.
“Ya be not lowly mon. Ya do good tings foh da tribe, mon”.

The compliment made Ganjolas cheeks burned, and he had a hard time looking upon the lady beside him. In a whisper in the wind, Loa Aida Wedo seemed to be aware of the two trolls and she sent a blessing upon them. However, another Loa also watched, and not for the first time in the priestess life, she decided to interfere. Yet, Loa Erzulie did not choose the young priest, but her companion.

“Eh, there has been a....oh. What are you doing here with farmboy?”
Both the Warrior and the Priest looked around. A Blood Elf stood and watching them with a hint of a smile on his face. Both trolls stood to face him.
“Like I said” he continued “there has been a call to arms. We need you” he said, aiming his words at the Priest. Ganjola had a hard time not showing open hostility towards the newcomer.
“Anodda one? What be it dis time, mon? A rampage Kodo in da Regents Lords garden?”
The Elf simply ignored the Warrior, still aiming his attention towards the Healer.
“Vipe. Me an Ganjola wants five minutes alone, ya got me?”
The Elf shrugged and turned away, leaving the couple on the cliff.

Awkward silence followed in the Elfs wake. It lasted for several minutes until Ganjola decided to step onto this new, unfamiliar battlefield.
“Ya know. Mi be thinkin very hi of ya... an be likin ya a lot.”
The Priest raised her eyebrows. Was this was she hoped for? Could fortune at last drop in on her?
“What ya mean?” she asked.
“Mi be meanin...ya know...never mind”.
She frowned at first, then letting her face into a smile. This Troll was young and not yet accustomed to speaking to Females it seemed, nor was he very good at saying what he meant. How cute.
“Tell mi, mon. Mi want to hear it.” This made the Warrior even more nervous.
“Ah, ya know, mon. Me be likin ya a lot. And more. And mi be even happy dat we talkin. Me be not sure....ah, forget it.
Even now, the blessing remained upon him. The priest decided it was time to ask.
“Ya mean ya be wantin mi as ya Female, Ganjola?”

Silence.

Silence.

Still, a great deal of nothing continued to happen as the warrior sat there, looking as struck by lightning. Then he smiled and said one word, the word that would alter their way to look on each other forever.

“Yea, mon.”

The priestess was overcome with joy, throwing herself at Ganjola hugging and kissing him.
Ganjola and Kasa was now a couple, with the Loa Aida Wedo looking and sharing their Joy.

24 Hours Later

It was another meeting for the Trolls of the Thunderwolfs clan. Their spiritual leader Eloha had gathered them right after Saadi had gathered the Orcs. In a spirit of mutual understanding, Ganjola and Aitai had been visiting the Orcs Hardships to better understand their culture and to return the gesture, several Orcs had followed Ganjola and Atai to Malaka´Jin to learn about their traditions.

“Mi dont see why we can have da hardships instead, mon” a bored Ganjola told Atai, a young priest.
“What? Ya want fire to yer head lika da Orcs?”
“Beats a history lession” the Warrior muttered.

When Eloha arrived, she was not pleased to see that a Undead that had followed her entered her sacred domain and motioned for the tribe to drive out the interlooper. While Ganjola tried to reason with the Forsaken to leave, the unnamed servant of Eloha was poised to strike, but there was no blood shed on the hallow ground as the Forsaken left after a short conversation. Eloha spoke out her dismay against the visitor.
“Curse da Rotten. Baron Samdi be not pleased to see dat dere be unnatural beeings on this ground.”

She relaxed and sat down behind her rug, her servant leaving the tent to persue a unknown errand. Eloha turned her attention to Aitia while the Orcs Takrin, Arruknar and Galith sat in a large wooden tub outside the tent, keeping their distance from the Troll Priest.

“Atai, Ganjola” she began. “Are ya ready to learn bout ya Loa?”
Both Trolls nodded.
“Then...” She paused and pointed at Atai. Atai rose and sat down in front of her, waiting to hear what Loa she had in her spirit. Eloha waited a moment, and let the wind carry a Loa to her.

Eloha looked in puzzlement at the youngling in front of her. Usually, she only got one of the Loas, but now she got two, and this troubled her. War her source correct after all?
“Do ya want to know who ya Loa be, mon?” Eloha asked Aital.
“Shando the Shaman” whispered one of the Orcs and the rest broke out in hysterical laugher and earned a angry glare from Eloha who was not amused of having her Loas compared to a childrens book hero, Aital seemed to interested in hearing about her Loa to even care about the Orcs.

The following conversation between Elhoa and Aital about her connection to the Loa was in whispers and in a uncommon Troll dialect that Ganjola had trouble with understanding.

Ganjola did not listen much. He had just seen the glimpse of a white dress in the sunlight. Could it be her? He had expected that she would not come, that she had more urgent matters to attend to.
But no, it seemed she had come. He rose to meet her.
“Kasa” he stammered out. Perhaps she had changed her mind since last night.
A smile and a long hug showed that this was not the case. They neither noticed – or cared – that Elhoa had paused her announcement and was looking at the two trolls – and so did everybody else apart from Takrin who seemed to have fallen asleep.

The couple sat down, side by side and holding hands, only to discover that Elhoas conversation with Aital was finished and she was now pointing at him. He rose.
“Ganjola. Come here, mon”
He rose and sat down in front of her. Moments of silence while Elhoa looked him straight in the face, looking insulted at the behavior of the young warrior.
“Get...of....da...rug”

Ganjola had – without knowing its importance – sat down on the sacret rug Elhoa was so fond of. He rushed to get of it to not offend her further. A bad connection with your spiritual leader often meant a bad connection to your Loa, and seeking importance in his peoples traditions, Ganjola did not want that to happen for such a small thing.

Again, the wind blowed, almost at the command of the old Troll in front of her.

“Five”.

She said it almost without knowing that he said it, like she was in trance. But she knew it was the right number. What more, this Loa might just be the perfect one for the young Troll who seemed to devote too much of himself into battle and too much for the other good things in life. Her silence also seemed to make him nervous. Good. He could very much have that for sitting on her beloved rug. She was also curious. He was impulsive. Would he ask or just wait. No, she decided. Until he got an answer, his attention would only be on the Priestess behind him. It seemed they have developed something.

Good. One less for him.

“Ya Loa, mon be Erzulie. What ya know about her?”

Ganjola simply shrugged.
“Not much, mon.”

“Erzulie be a gurubashi princess of high beauty, but out of da Blood Cycle, she be not able ta make children. Her beauty be da cause of many fight, males be killin each other to be in her favor. She be playin with her seducement power wit cruelty. She was so beautyfull and so desirable dat Legba itself, the major Loa be fallin love wit her and makin her become a Loa. “

She took a deep breath, letting her spririt attune to the will of Erzulie. The message for this one was clearer then it used to be, almost as it was written on his chest.

“Ta be satisfyin ya Loa, ya need to have twee Females in your life”.

The Orcs, often devoted for life to their partners jeered and whistled. For them, this was a blessing but Ganjola had a hard time seeing it as such after seeing Kasas reaction to the leaders words. While he cerently not would object to having more Females, he was not willing to offer Kasa to have them.

“Be that....necessary?” he asked with caution, Questing Elhoas messages from the Loa was not wise.
“Dat be nothin, mon. Ezzulie be havin more dan thousend lovers!”
“I hope for her sake it was not all at the same time” Galith commented.
Elhoa gave the Orc a shrug. “Da be no way of tellin if it be so, mon” she answered simply.

Ganjola took advantage of this sudden interruption and turned to Kasa.
“Ya, know, mi might not have to keep dam afterwards” he tried with a smile, a smile Kasa was a bit unable to answer.
“Perhaps, if mi like them...”

Her words trailed of.

“Look, mon. Mi be needin to tink bout dis.” she said simply.
“Kasa” the Warrior began. “Mi love ya, and mi be crossin da gods if mi have to show it to ya.”
“Mi cannot let you do dat” she answered.

And after a sad look upon the young Warrior, she activated her heartstone and disappeared.

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ganjola - The Way of the Loa   Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Icon_minitimeSun Dec 02, 2007 2:02 am

He sat outside Ogrimmar, on the very same rock he and Kasa had first kissed. It seemed pointless to sit there without her, but Kasa had been right. It was a very good spot if you needed to think – and that was exactly what he needed to do now. Around him, it was unusually quiet to be this time of the night.

Why was the Gods so cruel to him? Why could they just not accept that he was no macho troll who desired a hundred and hundreds more females but settled for one? Why did they have to ruin the only relationship he ever had? Just because his Loa Ez-whatever did have a thousend lovers, could she not see that he only needed one to love?

It did not seem that way.

He looked around. He wanted to make sure that he was alone. It turned out he was not. On the ledge above him sat a spirit wolf, looking down at him. He looked back. They stared at each other for a good five minutes before the Wolf spoke:

“Hey. Where is that nice Troll female you dated a few days ago? Should she not be here with you?”
Ganjoola peered at him. Had this spirit or whatever it was spied on him and Kasa back then? Likely.
“No. She be....not ere. It be complicated.”

The wolf jumped down from the ledge and sat down beside him.
“Complicated huh? Tell me about it. So, what happened?”

He explained it all and the Wolf was a good listener.
“-and now mi be needin to have twee females in mi life but mi only be wanin her!”
The animal scrached himself behind his ear.
“Well, you got yourself a problem there. What was your name again?”
“You nevah asked, mon. Mi be thinkin spirits know names.”
“True spirits care little for earthly things suck as names. They recognize people by other means. But I am no spirit. Just a Shaman that wants to help. Names Ormak.
The Wolf put up a paw and Ganjola shook it.
“Now, would ya please not be in da Wolf Shape any more, Shaman. It be weird sittin speakin to a Wolf dat only thoose close by can see, mon.”
It took three seconds. After that, the Wolf was gone and a Orc stood in its place, with a very familiar tabard on his chest.
“Eh! How dare ya treat an fellow tribesman like dat, mon. Mi really tought ya be a spirit, me havin an open mind to ya Shamans and da spirits.”

The Orc roared with laughter.

“Look, you looked like you wanted to talk and there is nothing of the usual crowd here so Id tought id talk to ya and you had nothing against it, see? Well, I hope I have not rubbed your faith in the spirits.”
The Troll shook his head and raised an eyebrow.
“Usual crowd?”
“In case you did not know it and I would not be surprised if thats the case, this rock is very popular amongst the young of Ogrimmar to...better know each other in the most intimite way.
“Ya be spyin on dem, Shaman?”
“Me and the spirit of this rock. He is an old fella who liked to be reminded that the people in this world show such love and dedication to each other. This place is considered a lucky place for Orcs who wants to get married and for Trolls who just want to score another Female. The spirit bless all couples who come here and from what I hear, that blessing is foolproof. However, he did not bless you and Kasa.”

Ganjolas heart sank. Why had not the spirit blessed them too?

“Why did he not do dat, mon?”
“You already had a stronger one on you, MON. And by the sound of it, it does not look like the work of the Loa that Elhoa says favour you, unless she really wants to torture you. There might be another one that favour you, or at least did that very moment.”

Ganjolas tought about it for a second. In hindsigh, it seemed like a miracle that Kasa and him had got together. After all, he had been so nervous he could not even put words to what he felt for her even if he knew exactly what it was.

“Well, good luck with Kasa and please send me a invite to the wedding.”
The Orc jumped back up on the ledge, turned into Travel form and ran off.
Hmf. Wedding? The Orc was certainly an Optimist. Or maybe he did not mean a Wedding with Kasa. Anyhow, he made a mental note that he actually would get an invitation if not only for his casual way of speaking of important things. When speaking to him, the problem did not seem that big anymore, just a mere obstacle that was easy to overcome.

Problem was, it was not. He had encountered Kasa a few times after the meeting. She seemed reluctant to even look at him and had as yet not uttered a single word to him and if they wanted to clear this up, they needed to speak to each other.

He looked away towards the road and realised he knew the two Troll priests walking there. He waved at them and they started moving towards him. He jumped down from the Cliff and greeded them.
“Ya Loa be with ya, mon” Lusa said but regretted it imidiatly when he saw the Warriors face and as a reward, she got an angry punch from Aital. Ganjola sighted and sat down while Lusa turned away to make a campfire.

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Gaogrimmaryb3

“How ya doin, mon?” Lusa tried again.
Ganjola explained and the Prisests nodded in Agreement. They did not like to see two of their tribesmen this unhappy and they wanted to help. As priests, their connection with the Loa was strong and it was their duty to keep everyone on the right track, and this warrior was clearly wavering from it for such a earthly thing as love. As a faithful follower of the Gods, Aital could not accept this for the Warriors own sake. Without a connection to the Loa, he would be cursed.

They sat around the campfire, speaking mostly about the daring attempt from the more experienced warrior of the tribe to brave the mysterious fortress in the Deadwind Pass and regretted that they all was too young and inexpericend to participate and bring glory to both the Thunderwolfs and the Horde.
Both Aital och Lusa tought this a good way to have Ganjola relax, to make him talk more about things he know most of, but their they had not come her to hear his comments on Battle Plans, they wanted him not to loose his connection to da Loa.

Lusa, who had not attended the meeting had not yet heard why this Warrior had spoken out against the Gods, gently asked the Warrior to explain. And the Warrior explained. At the end of his story, Lusa tought there was at least there was some reason to his madness. But as their elders always taught them, “The road to the Nether is paved with good intentions.”

Hopefully they would be able to reason with him.

One hour later, Lusa and Aital tought they at least had made a decent job of persuading Ganjola to follow his Loas path, but Ganjola had suddenly looked up against the Rock and gotten a certain glimpse in his Eyes. Within seconds, he had his Hearthstone in his hands and used it to disappear from the spot to the angry protests of the both priests. Up at the hill, a Sprit Wolf cursed himself. He should have moved quicker so that the Warriors scent would have evaporated into the Air, but the Hearthstone procedure had taken its time. “At least he aint here any longer” he thought as a Troll Priestess, wearing a long slender white dress and a jeweled staff sat down to speak with the other priests, tears filling her eyes.

Ganjola emerged in Shattrah, thankful for the Shamans warning. But he was sure his smell had not disappeared yet and thus, Kasa would know he had been there. Hopefully, she knew him to well to think he was flirting with Lusa and Aital. They where their friends, and he wanted neither as his female despite what the other trolls and the odd Orc thought behind his back. The entire tribe was talking about the unlucky event that had fallen upon the Priestess and the Warrior, sometimes with a snide comment and sometimes without.

He approached the Terrace of Light. While he was sure his problem was below the notice of the Naruu, he was comforted by its presence. He wondered who these beings really where – and how his Loas compared to them. Or was they Loa, the Shamanistic Spirits and The Humans and Dwarfs Holy Light, just under different names? There was no way of knowing, since it would be heracy to ask.

And he had enough trouble with his gods, those he knew was his.

In all this, a Elder Draneii stood forward to hold a speech to an assembly of some of the new recruits to the city, All Draneii. However, Ganjola surprised himself by finding it interesting to listen to his words, and after a moment, he choose a spot next to one of the young recruits who gave him a surprised gaze.
Even the Elder who spoke had noticed the Troll sitting down to listen to the lecture about the Holy Light, and how it helped people to do good instead of evil. He also told thoose who listened about the black hole that one felt when one was without the Holy Light. In a way, it reminded him of Elhoas teachings, on how the Tribes of Stranglethorn was brutal savages, only cause they had turned the Loas.

He had never heard anything like this speech in his entire life. It was different to what he was accustomed to hearing but he found himself nodding in agreement along with the other recruits as the Elder explained futher how a clean and devoted heart was the key to defeating the mindless demons.

It was the very same teachings he tried to learn younger Warriors, and there was one in particular who needed thoose lectures. He never know the name, but he had a fierce encounter outside Ogrimmar with a young Troll whose bloodlust seemed limitless. He shook his head. They had engaged in Battle and the inexperience Troll had lost. To this day, he regretted that he had to show what he meant by force.
He had only had his Sword with him at the time, while the young Troll had her entire arsenal at her disposal. Still, she had ran away with a bleeding lip. An accident. He had intended to strike to disarm, not to hurt. And this he tought was futher proof that all who tought for a cause needed a reason, preferable one that was not about bloodlust, revenge or just Old Hatreds. The Warrior that had callen herself the Blood Rose had failed to grasp this basic matter of the way of the warrior.

Deep in his toughts, he noticed in the corner of his eyes that the Elder Draneii had finished his lecture and that the other recruits was standing up and heading back to whatever posts they had to guard. He stood up himself, gave the Elder Draneii a court nod and moved upwards to the seconds floor of the building. There, he sat down and simply watched all the people, all of them with different reasons to fight in this conflict, all with different reasons to be in this place.

It took him several minutes to notice that somebody was watching him. The other troll, the watcher had approached him silently and just arrived in the city minutes ago. However, it was her smell that gave it away. He stood and faced her.

He said it in a monotonic voice. She was clearly sad and he could sense a struggle within her, the very same one that was in him. But she was a servant of the Loa, and that must have made it harder for her.

“One day. Dat all it took.”
He nodded. It seemed fast to him. He was also worried. Had she changed her mind?

“Kasa...” he began.
“Please. Just Shhh, mon.”

He sat down, resigned over his fate. He was sure. This was it. For this reason, he was surprised to se her place herself down beside him.

“One day.” she repeated. “Dat was all it took foh mi to know how mi feels. And mi knows ya have to do it mon. It be foh da Gods. And mi be wantin to help. But mi be wantin ya Female. Not one of ya Females.”

She pulled out a dagger.

“When mi thinks of anodda female around ya, me wants to use dis!” Rage flowed trough her eyes, mixed with tears. In a way, it reminded him of the story about the Loa Agwe and Gagwe, twins who was so different they could not stop figthing eachother. But here, it was a unified will behind it and not two siblings engaged in deadly battle. She grabbed her Dagger.

“Mi knows dat, mi love” Ganjola replied. “An thats why mi not like da Gods decision. Mi dont want to abide by it. Curse da Gods for doin dis”

She slapped him and hard.

“Dont let mi evah hear ya say dat again, mon. Ya path of da Loa be clear”
“Mi dont want to follow dat path if ya be no part of it” he declared.

Then she did something desperate. She put the dagger to her neck, openly weeping.

“Me....cant...stay wit ya if da go trough wit dis... Mi cannot betray da gods, me be a priest!” She shouted and yet, nobody on the floor seemed to notice her plight. Ganjola secretly wondered if the Naruu would allow his love to be harmed in front of it. Did it even care? The Draneii tought so.

But Naruu or not, she was his love. He could not watch her even try something like this. He gently put his hand on hers, and took the dagger out of an unresisting hand. She cried even harder. This...no...”

He hugged her, only to find himself pushed away, almost over the edge.
“Look Kasa, mon. Mi no ask this to happen. And mi do not want to loose ya, no matteh what. And mi be only needin and wantin a single female. An dat be you”

He could not bear this, he could not bear his Female crying over him. He was not sure he deserved to be another part in her life that made her sad. But he was in love with her, and he would support her to the end of days, in this life – and the next. And the one after that.

“Mi hafta be strong” she declared. “We both have to...”
“I know ya be right, dat da path of da Loa be for us, but mi cannot look upon ya without tinkin dat be will not accept anytin dat be seperatin us.”

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Gkshattrah2pp6

She looked at him and insides Ganjolas mind, a secret heretic tought began building. What if Elhoa was wrong? What is his Loa was not really his? What if some Loa was just playing a cruel game with him and his Female? He would speak to Elhoa again. He had to.

“Kasa, mi love.” It was not hard saying that part. It was so strong, so true so it came almost by itself.
“Be ya at least willin to wait wit this until mi have spoken to Elhoa again, mon?”

She rushed forward to him, hugged him and whispered in his ear.
“We cant be togetha in dis life, but we gonna be in da next”

Ganjola feelt his heart burn. She could not possibly mean that. If she did, he would find himself in that World soon. Without her, there was no will to battle, and a Warrrior without his will is easy prey to his Foes as the Warrior called the Blood Rose had failed to know when she challenged him.

Still holding her, he spoke.
“Be ya please willin to wait until mi have spoken to Elhoa? Mi be honorin da Loa an seekin her advise. She be knowin what they be wantin. Mi get back to ya when mi have done dat. Ya know mi love ya.
No female apart from ya evah goin to be dis close to mi. Mi be speakin with Elhoa, okies?”

A nod. And that made all the difference in the world for the Warrior. He had to find his tribes spirital leader and see if this was truly The Way of the Loa for him. And if it was, what the hell was he going to do then?

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ganjola - The Way of the Loa   Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Icon_minitimeThu Dec 20, 2007 9:03 am

New Chapter - Its a short one. Still, enjoy.

It was quiet in the wasteland of Durotar. Too quiet for Ganjolas taste. It seemed he had gotten used to the sounds of battle, screaming demons and harsh winds of Hellfire Peninsula over the last few weeks. Zangarmarch had not been much better. The silence was always interrupted by calls for help or the cries of something running at him from behind. But now he was home. At last.

He lent down at the Herbs. These was the perfect ones to cure Aitals chronic shyness. And that was she had requested of him once upon a time. But they where rare and he had warned her the delivery could take time. That time had also gotten him time to think, something he desperatly needed to do. But he was still commited to meeting the Mambo Elhoa. Only that she had not answered his message. But somebody else had.

The Shaman Ormak had given him a reminder of this appointment.

Aital and Lusa, along with a companion of his had approached him during the latest Tribe Meeting in Stonetalon, but in all the commotion with that Shaman, he had forgot about it until know. The Shaman had claimed he could bring back Blockhead, whos soul was a corrupted beeing of Hakkar in Zul Gurub. Hmf. Reborn amongst the Elements. What kind of mockery of Blockhead he thought, not noticing the pink-haired Mage who was going to great lengths to hide his face from the Warrior.

He let his raptor down to a stroll as he approached Sen Jin Village – the place the priests had told him to go, this time and this date. And he had answered, yes – that he would come. He had no need to anger a futher two priests to add to the two that already seemed angry enough on him.

He spotted them at once, standing near the pond in the middle of the village. It was getting late, stars now filling the darkblue sky and the moon was clearly visible. Crud. That meant he was late too. They where to meet at Sunset. However, the priests did not seem angry.
Aital walked toward to him as he dismounted his raptor.
“Do ya got dem, mon?” she whispered. He smugged the herbs into her hands and gave her a quick hug.

Lusa also hugged him and both priests introduced more Trolls who apparently also had been summoned by them. He also noticed a lot of snakes on the ground, something that made him uneasy. He had never liked the creatures.

The drums started to play, and Lusa gave Ganjola a drink and told him to drink it. The effect was immediate. At once, he was smash drunk and could hear whispers in his head, whispers from the Snake.

"Dis be helpin ya connect to our Loa, mon".

Ganjola did not what to belive about this. He had a hard time beliving that he could change Loa just by being at the initiation ritual for their kind. While Aital, Malko and the other Trolls (most of them females) started dancing, he sat down by the pool. Lusa stood behind him, her hand on his shoulder.

"Drink da water, mon. It be bettah."
"Mi got enought of drink, a moh powerfull stuff, mon"

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Gksenjinze7

He felt her sense before he could possibly see her. Damnit! He knew how this would look and sat down, awaiting his fate. Kasa had arrived. What had made her know he was here, he did not know but knowing her, Ganjola knew she was going to have the wrong assumption about the entire situation.

He rose and faced her and could hardly stand straight.
"Kasa, mi love. Did Ormak summon ya here twoo?"

She slapped him.
"Shut it, mon. Mi be sick of it. Everytin ya have said ya would not do, ya be have been doin"
Ganjola was heartbroken, completly resigned to his fate.
"Do what ya have to do, mon."
"Me told ya what mi would do if dis be happenin, long time ago."
"Mi knows hos dis looks in ya eyes mon. But it be not like you think. But mi be no man for excuses. Dis be what ya see and dis be what ya belive. I will always love ya, mon. What be here be no changin dat.

Kasa grunted and walked off. For a moment, Ganjola did not care. Then he ran after her. He cought up with her, just outside the village.

They walked in complete silence. Not a single word was uttered until Kasa stopped, to sit down outside the village. He glanced at her face. Her emotions on the matter was mixed, but focused. It was frustration, sadness and affection, all working towards a common goal.

"Kasa mi love. Mi know mi have no right to say dat to ya, but it me no less true foh dat mon."
"Mi dont want ya to give up on ya Loa mon".
"But dat will be what mi will do foh ya, mon".
"Ganjola. Dis is how it will be. Mi will stay. We will both pick dem. Pick dems who we will be happy wit, mon.

She looked at Ganjola.

“We must follow da gods. It be not what we be wantin, but what dey be wantin.”
Ganjola simply nodded. He did not like it more then she did. In her eyes, no female compared to her.
But at least this way he had not to break against the will of the Gods. Kasa smiled.

“Fair enough, mi love” he said. “But no female will compare to ya in mi eyes”
She hugged him.

And all was well... apart from someone approaching in the distance with Demons about him, long ears and a pink skin moving towards Kasa....

Well, very possible since I was darn tired when I wrote that part and had no time to go over it. But I had some nice ideas and wanted to write so I did not want to wait with it until a later time.

Took a bit of time now to fix the worst of the writing errors in grammar and spelling.
If you find any other, please relay it to me and I fix that too.

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ganjola - The Way of the Loa   Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Icon_minitimeWed May 07, 2008 1:31 am

On top of the Aldor rise, on one of the platforms there had been a Troll, watching out on the city below him. Not any Troll, but a happy Troll, and it took something special to make this very Troll smile. His white hair was made into a ponytail, his leather jacket was standard issue and his armor was tucked away at his room at the Aldor Inn. The Trolls name was Ganjola, and he had a special reason to be happy.

He had first taken notice of her in Elhoas hut. She was a pretty women to be sure, and the first one he tought of as a worthy second female. After all, it made sense. She was younger then Kasa, and with a different mood but she was also a priestess and like all Warriors, Ganjola was drawn to them. He did - of course - not ask her at once tought. First he had to make sure she really was a worthy female and it certainly seemed that way. Over time, he liked her even more, his love for her rivaling his love for Kasa. So when Kasa suggested her as a possible canidate they could both agree on, it was not hard for Ganjola to accept.

He had looked at her red hair from a distance. He had requested to meet her here and she had accepted. He had glanced at her. She had not noticed him, and Ganjola suddenly realised he felt nervous, just as he had when he tried to pick up Kasa some months before. She turned around and smiled at him, giving him a small wave. Well. There was nothing else to it. He went to her and sat down beside her.

"-It be good to see ya got mi message, mon" he said, not sure if he really had the courgage to do this. He could slay Demons, but not talk properly to a female? After all, all he would say would be the truth. Yes. His heart inside him had prodded him to tell her how he felt.

So he did. And things had been happy everafter.

That had been almost four months ago.

Now, after a long nights sleep at the Booty Bay Inn, with a small Yambalayan gem in his hand, it was she who had affentionally poked him on the same place her Snake Tatoo was and as thus woken him up. She had looked at him with thoose beutiful eyes of hers and smiled, as she usually did. He smiled back and rose. He was going to ask her the question he wanted to ask her ever since he found a third female. So he asked it.

"Mi have found a Mistress...an Kasa bi me Muse of Battle. So...mi was wonderin if ya would...accept the postion as Wife. Aital, will you marry me?"

It had not gone as expected She had looked into the floor and slowly walked outside the room, without saying anything. Ganjola had just sat there, dumbstruck and unable to respond. He had more or less expected this to be routine. He was sure she would be ready for it. He was sure she would have said a yes. Or at the very least a No. But her saying nothing at all was...worrying.

None of this had he mentioned when he met his third Female that night. They had been friends for some time, but it was now they started...what? Feelings for eachother? That was one way to put it and it was sure the way Ganjola felt it. But... hers was the position of Mistress since she could not be the Wife. They had to meet in secret. Anything else would be highly improper and would lead to talk - and talk was something they had to avoid. So they sneaked away to meet instead, her riding behind him on his trusted Windrider Go´el. Their time together had been glorious. Honorable. Passionate. But even there they had hit a snag. Not a small one either. And the result had sent Ganjola on a frantic ride from Tanaris that had not stopped until he reached Sen Jin. Along the way, he had paused ones, in The Crossroads making a frantic call over his Heartstone for his most trusted friends. The tabard was left behind. He felt dishonoed. And afraid.

And it was there she had showed up again. At first, he had been afraid she had overheared the story he had told his Mambo and the Blademaster. They had even shared a small laughter about the Orcs inexperience with the concept "mating for fun" and it would need many acts of appeasement to Erzulie on Malkos behaf for calling Erzulie the "Hubba Hubba" Loa. And then she had turned up. The one he wanted to be his wife. He had sincerly asked her if she truly loved him. Her seconds of silence had been answer enought, or so he tought.

"Wait!"

A single word, filling Ganjolas sundered heart with hope. And joy. At least she would be willing to talk to him...maybe even explain why she did not love him any more. But his fear was overwhelemed by her next words.

"Mi do, mon. But...mi just dont know if me can do dat if mi can be ya Wife. It be a big ting"
He looked at her, stroking her over her cheek.
"Mi would not choose you if mi think ya would not be perfect for it" he said, resting his hand on her shoulder and looking into her eyes.
She raised her gaze and met his eyes.
"M-mi jus'need ta think more about it"
"Take all da time ya want, mi love.

He had managed his first real smile on that day. They had embraced. Kissed. And they would stay together until Aital could answer. While he maybe still had to find a wife, his troubles with the Mistress was forgotten as he laid her eyes on Aitals Tatoo once more.

And the next part. Part 4 is in hot Standby! Razz

It was a dream. Or so she tought. Her dress was wet. She looked down. She was hovering over what looked like an endless ocean. Around her was nothing but mist. The hairs on her neck raised. What was this all about? What was this trickery? Suddenly a bright light floated aboved the water. It was emited from something pure, a light only the Masters of Shattrah City and their Aldor companions could accomplish. She raised her head, fixating at it. She know that item, but not from where.

A wind touched her hair. It carried a voice along with it. It was pleasent, seductive but she felt the deceat the words emited. What was happening? She tried to focus. She had to focus.
"Your fate is controlled by me now, son of Tatai. You served me as I requested. Yet I am not to send you to the Afterlife. Unless you give me the reason."
She could tell it was a game, that it was playing with her victim, who held the source of the radiating light. Yet, she knew the one facing this immense beeing known as Loa was not afraid. Either he had accepted this fate, to drift theese oceans of nothingness or he had something she did not know about. This was not likely tought. The Loas power was too great for anything but the other Gods and powerful beeings.

She felt despair for the unknown figther who stood against this deity. Had he any hope?
Another voice answered. It was different to the female voice who had teased her prey.
"I have done as you asked. But the Mistress was not your act. It was her sacrifice. And it is as such I stand before you, wearer of the three rings!"
Mistress? What act could the lightbearer talk about? What sacrifice had somebody done on his behaf, and what did it mean?

The Loa - The Wearer of Three Rings had the Lightbearer called her - seemed to consider the words. It was not words that would doom him in an instant - but nor would they save him.
"Your Mistress was already mine. A life for a life. Surely she told you that?" she jeered, not even bothering to conceal her joy.

"Blood of Innocents traded for my latest opponent" he said, merely stating a fact. His voice was calm, controlled. She could almost feel the smirk that accompanied it. Had she not spoken with this one on more the once occasion? She felt ashamed that she could not grant a single prayer, nor any words of comfort to the light - or even remember the smirky face to who the voice belonged.

"A Trade she fully agreed to!" she snarled, angry at his insolence. "Love can make us do such things.. And yet, I find it ironic. Would it not be much better for you if we simply did
a trade with you as well? I do not care for his kind. But a loyal servant amongst mortals is always a good thing. It can be done. should you ask."

Her voice was sweet as honey, she could almost feel the smile who accompanied the latest words. "Come now, mortal. Your mistress does not care for one brute over another. This way you will at least help her back to her own race!"

Something touched her feet. It was a tabard floating in the water and she took it up, and stretched it out. It carried a symbol she heartly disliked. It belonged to the Loas opponent - or was he a servant? - and marked him as one of what they called the True Horde, a group of individuals within the Horde who seemed to think themselfs better then everybody else.

"What honor would I have if I accepted. I would simply say my life was better despite the fact I was the one who did wrong. And I have paid the price. I am here for your judgement over how I have tasked my duties to you, not to bargain to return as a mortal!"

As she picked it up, the male seemed to notice her. A pair of eyes looked at her trough the mist. They carried a smile with them. The male was happy to have her here. Why? She felt terrified. She hoped there was some way the beeing could save himself. She was unable to do it.

The sweet voice returned. "A pity"
As the words echoed in the void, the mist started to conceal her, pulling her away from the two others.

She woke up, sweaty and frenzied. The slender figure of a Draneii female entered trought the door, peering at her, clearly dismayed at her current state.
"Priestess, is something wrong."
The Priestess of the Aldor stood up, looking at her servant.
"I need to see Velen!"

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ganjola - The Way of the Loa   Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Icon_minitimeFri May 09, 2008 8:44 pm

In Hindsigh, it had been downright foolish of him Ganjola tought. But that did not change the situation as it where. And, come and think of it, it was worth it. The stolen moments in Zangarmarch. Their walks in the Elven lands. Yes, she was worth fighing for he tought - and even meeting only in secret. She slept aside him near the shore. He smiled for himself. He sure as hell did not deserve such a wonderful female - let alone three of them. He sighed. It had not been all easy tought. Despite having talked trough things with Aital, things was still a bit stiff between them unless she felt lonely and that was far less often then he would like.

It had been before even that trouble began that duinrg a walk in Zangarmarch that he had run into her and they have started talking. They where friends after all and what kind of friend was you if you did not stop and talk to them when you saw them? He had suggested that they sit down and talk somewhere, and she had agreed, riding behind him on Go´el, his trusted Wyern. Settling at the peaks above the forest, their lips have found eachother, but she had left him there, brushing it away as a mistake, only to return later the same night. As so far, their secret was safe. Their love was never in the open, and her male - an Orc - was oblivious to the entire thing. And as it should be. The only one who he had entrusted was the one who was like a sister to him, Malko. He had told her that he had almost furfilled his commitment, and wondered what was next. And he had been told he needed to choose. Not a choice that would deny somebody anything, just choose what role they would have in his life.

The Wife. The Mistress. The Muse. The last one was easy enought. Not beeing present, away cleaning her soul from Kalfus evil, Kasas fate was a constant reminder in his heart and as thus, she was the muse. The reminder of what happens when you play with powers beyond your control. But who would be the Wife? Aital was a worthy female, but young and somewhat insecure, qualities that made her more a mistress then a Wife. But the choice was made for him. One night, he had asked his third one if she would accept the position of Wife, in secret and with only a few knowing about it. But it was not the way things was meant to be. Her fate too was bound to Erzulie but in a different way. She had sacroficed her most loved ones, in order to save her Husband, the Orc and only Erzulie had granted her wish at the price of her bearing the same curse as Erzulie did as a mortal. However, she did not see any problem in accepting the role as Mistress for him and it was so things turned out.

It did make things easier for Ganjola tought. Aital would be the wife, and a worthy one at that. When he met her next time, he had proposed to her as her Wife. Not even that had went as planned he tought, but Aital was young and a Marrige was a large thing. It was only natural she needed to think. He hoped she would come around. He did not want to loose her and finding another female would be difficult for him. He already had the best, most beuitiful and honorable females in all the Horde. How could he find a fourth without looking down on her, thinking her inferior? And that had been the reason for the argument with his Mistress in Tanaris.

She had wanted him to pick three females out of a crowd and just take them to please Erzulie. Ganjola was offended at her words. How could strangers who would stay home and cook and clean compare to honorable females who fought at his side, and at the side of others? The row had lasted well into the night ending with something that was not of Erzulie, and certainly not of himself. The result was a frantic ride to Sen Jin Village where loyal friends - and a loyal female awaited him. It had helped him relax that night, forget his troublesome Mistress and his own errors.

Next letter he sent to her did not wear the usual seal. He was not worthy of carrying it, not until he had redeemed himself. An answer came quickly enought. It was the answer of a priest, not one of a Female. It had been her choice she had said. A Sacrofice on her part to make his promise to Erzulie complete. Ganjola was unsure if something so devoid of passion could be of Erzulie and had asked his mambo, who had agreed, advising him to be careful..

The next letter from her had informed her that she was away, fighing in the mountains. Again, his heart filled with pride over that his Mistress was brave and honorable. And when a letter of aknowledgement came that she was alive and waited for him, he picked up his Axe and Shield, mounted his raptor and raced of to the shore.

Indeed, she was waiting for him.

Vereidri. His mistress.

Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ganjola - The Way of the Loa   Ganjola - The Way of the Loa Icon_minitimeWed Jul 23, 2008 2:31 am

The wind blew his hair, and even the air was chill. As thus, he held her closer. She leaned into him, as she used to do, before all the insecurity had happened. The took it as a good sign. Nagrand was a temperate place, but even during the nights, it was chill. He kissed her bare neck, and inhaled the wonderful smell of her hair. It almost drove him crazy with passion for the female, but he restrained himself. Erzulie would grant him more time with this female but not know.

Right now, he would savour the moment.

The moment in question lasted trough the night, if not the morning. She was simply gone, and he had no idea on where she he was, nor did he any effort to find out. While it put a icy clump in his heart by doing so, he also knew that his female was honorable, and fully able to take care of her self - or at least so he hoped. He wondered if she fully grasped the dangers of the evil spirits she was dealing with. He had tried to warn her and only hoped she actually had listened.

Several days past and she saw no sign of her until he by purely accident ran into her in a remote area in Durotar. He had been out on a stroll, looking for herbs, enjoying the leave from his duties when they had spotted eachother. It had been a joyous encounter, without any flustering, shyness or any other un-Trolly things. They had embraced, and sat down.

In a whisper, she told him everything he wanted to hear, in a single word.

"Yes"

He had only smiled sheepishly at it. He could not be happier. And this he told her.

"Mi can find a way to make ya dat..."

She grinned. And as always, Aital was right.
